Muharram 2024: Sacred Month of Allah - Islamic Relief


 The Gregorian calendar that consists of 365 days is different from the Islamic lunar calendar followed by Muslims that is based on the phases of the moon and has about 354 days that are divided into 12 months where Muharram is the first, tailed by the months of Safar, Rabi-al-Thani, Jumada al-Awwal, Jumada ath-Thaniyah, Rajab, Shaban, Ramadan, Shawwal, Zil-Qadah (or Dhul Qadah) and Zil-Hijjah (or Dhul Hijjah). After Ramadan or Ramzan, Muharram is considered to be the most sacred month in Islam and it marks the beginning of the lunar calendar which Islam follows.
